1997 Chevy Venture Power sliding door?

Recently just purchased a 97 venture outside a lot and the automatic activation of the passenger sliding door side doesn't work. Not on the remote or the buttons inside. Any idea? this could only be a blown fuse or something more in depth …..

It could be an actuator, a cable, motor, or holder stuck. There is an upgrade kit available to fix it, or you can disarm and control the power of the motor and actuator, and see if the engine is up. You can check the fuse panel inside the passenger side of the dashboard, and grab your owner's manual. The Power Door does not use a fuse, but a module. The modules for high-speed fan, door locks and windows, high-beam headlights, and AC are on the side left the fuse panel. There are 5 or 6, depending on model. You can take one of these modules and replace it with one that you know works. For example, take the module window power if it works and change the form of the sliding door. If the power windows still work and not the sliding door, the module is good. You will have to grab your owners manual for the label and see which module is which. You also have to open the power distribution box near the battery, if the owner's manual shows the circuit of the sliding door is also run with another circuit, as the power behind the vents, for example. See what it's all in the same circuit, and if the works of other things, that removes that module too. It insulates the overhead switch panel, or to all sliding door motor. Good luck. I went through the same thing with my Pontiac Montana.
