is using a max resolution LCD TV for a bad team?

Okay so heres the deal that has a Samsung 40 "and am using it as a computer screen, more television and what not, but I was wondering if it is bad to use max res on my TV? if the specification of TV 1920 x 1080, reads, Can I run there perfect or what? someone help me
